How do I make an appointment?
To schedule an appointment with Small Talk Psychology Melbourne please call 0417 100 249 or email admin@smalltalkpsychology.com. Alternatively, you can submit an enquiry on our website and provide more information about you or your child’s needs.
How long is each session?
A standard consultation is 50 minutes and this includes parent or carer feedback (where appropriate).
Do I need a referral to attend Small Talk Psychology Melbourne?
Whist we welcome referrals from medical professionals, a referral is not required to attend our service. Please see the ‘funding’ section of our website for more information about referral options.
Do you bulk bill?
Unfortunately we do not offer bulk billing services. Payment for all services are due on the day of appointment.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We require at least 24 hours notice before cancelling or re-scheduling appointments. If you do need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please note that 50% of the scheduled fee will be charged when less than 24 hours noticed is provided. If there is non-attendance of an appointment without notice the full session fee will apply.
What should I expect from the first session?
The first session will be a parent-only session, unless an alternative plan is discussed. This session is an opportunity for to discuss your concerns, what has led to you seeking psychological services, what you are hoping for in engaging with Small Talk Psychology Melbourne and to discuss and develop treatment goals and a plan for your child. It also allows for us to take a thorough developmental history.
Do you provide Telehealth?
Small Talk Psychology does provide Telehealth services for clients and their families (where appropriate). Telehealth sessions are currently eligible for Medicare rebates when you have an appropriate referral. NDIS funding can also be utilised for Telehealth services.
