  • We provide a range of comprehensive assessments to support clients and their families in understanding their neurotype as well as their strengths and unique profile. Small Talk Psychology Melbourne offers a range of assessments including Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Cognitive Assessments and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD). All assessments include a comprehensive diagnostic and assessment process, a comprehensive written report as well as a feedback session where the results of the assessment and recommendations are discussed in depth.

  • At Small Talk Psychology we value collaboration to support our clients, and this includes engagement with education services. We aim to support the learning and development of our clients as well as their education engagement. We offer school and kindergarten observations and consultations in order to support clients and their educators with their learning, social emotional and behavioural needs.

  • At Small Talk Psychology we offer parent sessions as part of our collaborative approach to supporting clients. These sessions can support parents in assisting the ongoing needs of their child and family as well as advocating for the needs of their child. These sessions can be a supportive space for parents to discuss challenges and to determine supports moving forward.

  • At Small Talk Psychology we understand that sometimes you may not know exactly what you want or need from engagement with a Psychologist. We offer the option of consultation services where you can engage with a Psychologist for a single session to discuss your or your child’s needs and within that session determine what may be the appropriate next steps. Consultations may be helpful if you:

    · Have been told by a teacher/health/allied health professional that Psychology engagement may be helpful but you’re not sure how.

    · Feel as though your child needs an assessment but you’re not sure what the most appropriate assessment may be.

    · Have recently done an assessment and need further discussion about the results or are unsure as to what the next steps are.

    · Are having challenges that you want to discuss but you are unsure if a Psychologist is the right professional to see.

    · Need support in the home environment or in working with your child’s kindergarten or school.
